This song wasn't finished until we were actually in the studio recording it. From the second chorus onwards, we practically jammed it out and just played, and sang, what we felt was right as a band and went with that.
This song is about that spark of strength and independence you get when you are coming out of somewhere dark and uninspiring. It's knowing that you can make it through but just need time and understanding to get back to where you want to be. I'm quite a private person and tend to keep things close, but it wasn't til I began to trust someone with what I was going through, that I actually started to feel like me again. This person helped pull me out of this rut I had dug for myself.
