We recorded the vocals and piano live, and in one take, at the studio (which means the vocal and piano performance are unedited). We wanted to get the vulnerability and rawness that this song lends itself to. This song isn't just about holding on to a certain person or memory. It's to remind yourself of the mistakes and the reasons that lead you to this point in time. It's holding on to the good moments and learning from the rest while holding on to the possibility, the questions and the ideas of what could have been.
