about

ONE YEAR ON...
Forever on a Sunday was one of the last songs written for this EP. One of my besties, Patrick Ryan, supplied the guitar idea that this whole song is based around. This song is about reminiscing on a lost possibility. It's about taking things for granted and not realizing something incredible even though it's right in front of you.

lyrics

FOREVER ON A SUNDAY
Looking back now hands down they were the best times ever
You and me we were up to no good ninety per-cent of the time
Memories built on drunken whims made us legends of the night Daylight brought us closer than we ever felt was right //

Chorus
Take me back to those summer days I never felt so alive
Do you remember all the hours we spent lying by each other’s side?
I could stay forever Let me stay here forever on a Sunday //

Trashing hotel rooms having midnight swims singing all our favourite songs
being with you it always felt so right how could this go wrong?
Of all the eyes that one could catch ours never failed to find
What we had I thought would last if we didn’t cross that line //

Chorus
Take me back to those summer days I never felt so alive
Do you remember all the hours we spent lying by each other’s side?
I could stay forever Let me stay here //

Sitting waiting watching wasting
Time goes slow when love is fading
You and I ignored the signs again and again and again and again Neither one of us pushed in case we lost
If I knew how it would end I would have fought
Never in a million years would I guess that I could ever fall this hard
I would ever fall this hard //

Chorus
Take me back to those summer days I never felt so alive
Do you remember all the hours we spent lying by each other’s side?
I could stay forever Let me stay
Take me back to those summer days I never felt so alive
Do you remember all the hours we spent lying by each other’s side?
I could stay forever Let me stay here forever on a Sunday //

Megan Sidwell Australia

Megan Sidwell embodies the perfect balance of an edgy, chuck-wearing rocker with the pure heart of a country belle. Her music achieves this, forming a unity between the sensibilities of rock and country pop. Her music bleeds of infectious pop hooks and country harmonies, with an edge and a dramatic overtone so overtly unique to her style. ... more
